Curly Temple/ Natural Hair Care Products for men and women of curl!

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a strong advocate for NATURAL hair care products for textured hair. So, when I find products that are not only amazing but also natural, I have to share! Honestly, I use what works, natural or not but I truly believe natural is best for our delicate tresses.

"I truly believe natural is best for out delicate tresses."

I had the pleasure of partnering up with a wonderful company dedicated to providing natural products for men and women of curl; Curly Temple. I tried out three products from this store and I absolutely loved all three products.

The first product I tried was the Black Coffee Co-Wash with coffee butter and bentonite clay which is a 2-in-1 wash and conditioner. I was drawn to this product because it would allow me to skip a step on wash day (perfect for lazy naturals like me...lol). The second thing that drew me in was the bentonite clay. Bentonite clay is a mud like substance derived from volcanic ash. It is a healing clay with a high concentration of minerals including silica, iron, potassium, calcium, sodium, and magnesium, just to name a few. It's also known to absorb and remove heavy metals, impurities, chemicals, and toxins. When used as a hair mask, it can help treat dry scalp, damaged hair, frizziness, and provide deep moisture.

This product left my hair clean, but not squeaky clean, and soft. A lot of store-bought shampoos tend to leave the hair squeaky stripping the hair, leaving it dry and brittle. This product had a perfect balance of clean yet moisturized.

Next, I tried the Island Frizz Citrus Frizz Fighter. I used this product like a leave-in conditioning detangler. It's formulated with orange, lemon, and lime peel oil which softens and defines natural curls. This product is full of antioxidants and minerals including potassium and magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E to fight breakage and split ends. This is an all-natural styling aid that left my hair feeling soft, detangled, and moisturized.

Lastly, I tried the Twist It Tea Butter. This was my favorite of the three! It's a shea butter mix with green tea butter. Green tea is known to promote hair growth, reduce hair fall, and is rich in catechins which help reduce dihydrotestosterone (DTH), which causes hair loss and baldness.

Shea butter is a byproduct of shea nuts that are harvested from the Vitellaria paradoxa tree in West Africa. It has Vitamins A and E along with essential fatty acids that help reduce frizziness, prevent split ends, and help treat scalp irritation and redness.

The Twist It Tea is my favorite because it does a really good job of sealing in moisture leaving my hair juicy and moisturized all day long and most importantly, it's all-natural. It's perfect for locs, braids, twists, and kids styling. I use this the most on my 3-year-old who has very thick type 4 hair. I use it for moisture retention and smoothing.
