Why vitamin E is so important and how it can help promote healthy hair growth!
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps repair and rebuild tissue. When applied to the scalp, it reduces inflammation and repairs damage to the follicles which encourages hair growth. Vitamin E is a common ingredient found in many hair, skin, and nail products.
Did you know you can use Vitamin E gel from a capsule as a topical treatment?
“Gel from capsules can be used on the skin, nails, and the scalp.”
I thought this was a myth but after a little research, I found this to not only be true, but also very effective! Gel from capsules can be used on the skin (scars, bumps, or irritations), nails (cuticles), and the scalp.
How to use Vitamin E topically
For hair growth:
1. Start with a clean scalp (Shampoo or Co-wash).
2. Pour 1 tablespoon of avocado oil (or olive oil) into a small dish.
3. Pierce 2 -3 Vitamin E capsules with a pin and squeeze the gel into the dish along with the oil.
4. Part your hair into sections.
5. Dip fingers in the oil and apply directly to the scalp.
(You can also use Jamaican Black Castor Oil as a sealant on top of the mixture. JBCO is known to draw out impurities and stimulate hair growth.)
6. Gently massage using fingertips in a circular motion for 2 - 3 minutes to stimulate blood flow.
* Use this treatment 1-2 times a week (or as needed).
Other Uses for Vitamin E
“You can also use Vitamin E capsules to treat dry scalp, eczema, razor bumps and stretch marks.”
You can also use Vitamin E capsules to treat dry scalp, eczema on the scalp and skin, other skin irritations such as razor bumps, stretch marks, sun burns, dry skin, wrinkles, and nails. Simply mix a tablespoon of olive oil with gel from 2-3 capsules and apply directly to the area you want to treat.
Vitamin E is definitely worth adding to your beauty regimen!
